Review summary

internet was bad, too bad to be able to use, web pages and e-mail wouldn't load, yet no refund; they try to take every last penny from you, whether they deserve it or not. $3.25 for a small bottle of water? Really? The excursions run from mediocre to terrible. Food is monotonous. Service staff - room attendants, etc. - generally very good. Unreasonable to charge $8.00 to be able to get fountain soda (and up to $22/day or more for other soft drink packages.). Entertainment ranged from good to bad, but unfortunately most of it was very, very bad. They cater to "Diamond Club" members who have full use of the best lounge (only one where you can really see out) to the detriment of the rest of the passengers (like me).  You can look at the food on RCI to see how they cut corners - no veal, for example, in any dishes -they substitute cheaper pork. Medical staff is not smart enough to figure that if they taped open the rest room doors that would decrease the chance of transmission of norovirus, a problem on cruise ships and on this cruise ship as well.

they are all tiny. They need to have more electrical outlets. And for those of us who need CPAP we have to have an electric cord go through the middle of the room to the machine when you sleep. Dumb design.

Ship tip

compare prices, including and especially those just a few weeks before voyage. Ignore their policies and bring a bottle of your favorite booze - their drinks are really expensive. Don't bring good dress clothing - you won't need it. Don't run out of routine meds- they charge $100's in profit .

Free water is in big containers in the free food areas. Iced tea- lemonade-water with fruit in it and plain water. All you want along with coffee- tea. Just glasses though for the water and iced tea. Not really free- you did pay for it. Time away from the internet. We have enough at home- same with phones. Take a break.

Wow

we always love every cruise we go on. Of course we spend all our time in the best lounge on the ship because we love RCCL and have earned our right to go in the diamond lounge. I feel sorry for you that you found nothing to enjoy on that fabulous cruise ship. Good luck on your next vacation try Cuba.

Mate, tell us how you really feel!! Internet really??? Is this the reason you cruised?? There are more pleasures to do then sit and surf the web on a cruise. You also complain about the price of water, again really??? It sound like you are tight with your money and don't understand that sometimes you just need to spend money on certain things you normally wouldn't when on holidays.

of course the Internet will be slow -hello ur in the middle of the ocean using satellite ??? Seriously who goes a cruise or a holiday to be just on the Internet... For your drinks -FYI get drink packages these r more cost effect and will b cheaper in the long run . The Royal refreshment packs is all soft drinks, non alcoholic cocktails, premium hot drinks , bottled water (from the bar)

i don't expect good internet service any cruise and personally I don't care as I will be on holidays!! I will be glad to have a break from it! No Veal??? Really! lol I didn't expect that who cares I don't eat it at home anyway. My biggest concern with this review is they charge you for water??? I am sure we will be ok because we have the drinks package but I was hoping our kiddies will be offered free water?

Jesus, mate! You do not seem like a very enjoyable person. I think that the cruise community as a whole would rather you enjoy all-inclusive resorts instead.
