Review summary

The cruise from beginning to end was enjoyable for what we did. My only complaint was about the adults not reeling their children in. We did not go to some of the entertainment shows because of the children being uncontrollable and overly excited.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest embarkation we have had in all the years of cruising. I love the Miami port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The service in the main dining room was outstanding. The food was delicious and plentiful for the most part. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the main dining room as well.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pools had to be closed a couple of times because of issues with adults and children getting sick in them. Solarium pool was best. I do not understand why so many small children are allowed in the hot tubs on the main deck. No parents around, or they just watched from a distance.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Musicians were wonderful, better than most of the entertainment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing crew on this ship. Laughing and enjoying their jobs. Never saw an employee anywhere on the ship that didn't offer a smile.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was clean although there were places needing attention as to rust and in need of varnish. It's an older ship but well kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean, but the balcony was smaller than the balconies on the smaller ships.

Ports of call

St. George's, Grenada

4 out of 5
Good beach and friendly service by the spice market. Loved spice shopping and interaction with the people.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
They are still recovering from Covid and hurricanes, and is looking a little depressed. Especially the shopping area. Still a fun place to visit.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Rainy day kept us from going where we wanted to go. On the plus side, the shopping area by the port was a really fun experience.

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
Port was pleasant, and people were friendly.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Taino Bay was beautiful and had plenty of shopping for everyone.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Almost as easy getting off as it was getting on. I love the facial recognition at customs, so quick.

Ok, so I totally get about the children. However, I just love to see the young people truly not having a care in the world. Adults should only be so lucky. Are they just suppose to sit in a corner all day. I actually love seeing healthy children having fun. I just tune out that part of any cruise I go on. We all need to remember we were all that young once. Thank you.

Thanks for the write up. It’s a shame parents don’t do their job of controlling their kids.
