Explorer of the seas is a nice big ship with brilliant staff that go above and beyond to help you enjoy every minute of your cruise. Only have a few sticking points,
Can only get one drink at a time at the bar
No bedtime turn down service
No leaflets telling you about next port day, you have to ask for it.
Only got one towel animal the whole week.
Don't like the set dining times
Staff at customer reception are rude
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was a bit chaotic at the terminal but once passed check-in it was ok
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Breakfast in the MDR every morning was delicious and service was on the slow side.
Dinner in the MDR was awful, food was cold and very tasteless even after complaining it still was not up to a cruise standard, Windjammer was very nice with a lot to select from.
Bar staff were amazing but could only order 1 drink at any time.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
This ship has a lot going on around it for all ages.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The ice rink show was amazing.
The palace theatre had only one good show which was the magician/comedian, the rest were boring.
Throughout the ship there was a few various singers at the schooner and crown & kettle bars. The main parade performance was very good but only lasted 20mins or so.

Favourite place to visit on this cruise.
Ship was docked at the old port, so we had to get the water bus into the main port €2 each way and they ran every 15 mins. Get in early and get a seat at one of the cocktail bars along the water front with stunning views of the 6 windmills on the hill.
We purchased 2 soft drinks, a cappuccino coffee and a cocktail for €34.65. Mykonos is a busy wee place with tight walkways and lots of souvenir shops that are reasonably priced.
We did an excursion to the acropolis through a company called PK travel, we were picked up at the cruise port and driven around Athens and learnt a lot of the city's history. The tour took about 4 hours and was less than half the price of the ships same excursion.
Docked at the small port and took a 10 min walk into the town, if you want to see the turtles walk pass the kefalonia sign and they should be just swimming around the harbour.
We got tendered off the ship which took over 3 hours to get off and onto shore. We only had about an hour to spend walking around this nice little town.
