Review summary

I think if we had to do this same itinerary again we would rather fly out of Florida. The extra cost to fly into Puerto Rico was more than the cost of the cruise.

It was effortless. Waited in line less than 30 minutes and boarded early.

Our favorite meals were at Giovanni's. Chops was also excellent. The main dining room was not up to par in our opinion.

Onboard Activities

We enjoyed the Solarium pool area. However the pool was not warm at all. The Jacuzzi was heated so why not the pool?

Our room steward Joel was very attenuative and took care of any requests we had. The Diamond lounge was our favorite.

Ship Quality

The cleanliness was not a problem. This ship is older (22 y/o) and has not had the RCCL "Amplification" yet. (Scheduled for Jan. 2023)

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a Junior Suite which was just the right size. We really loved the walk in closet and the tub in the bathroom. All of the RC ships need more electrical receptacles. The room was very clean.

Just enjoy yourself and relax.

Thanks for sharing when the Explorer will get its upgrade. I'll be on in a few days and plan to enjoy it. I've seen a couple of other reviewers rate the MDR much the same as you did, so I'm prepared for whatever comes my way. Thank you!
