Since we upgraded to a Junior Suite, we went thru the suite entrance are, answered a few medical questions, and were in the Schooner's Bar within 15 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room were separated by vaccinated & non-vaccinated. Seat assignments were based on number of people in your party. The food was very good, but paying an extra $34.95 for Surf & Turf was not worth it. The steak was roasted vs. seared and the lobster tail was basically a whole lobster halved with very little lobster meat. The Windjammer buffet food was good with alot of variety but it wasn't self serve. Changes to the entrance there was 6 or 8 wash stations on each side of the entrance. Attendants scanned your Sail & Sign card entering and leaving the restaurants.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the adults-only Solarium, steam & sauna rooms, & my wife enjoyed a massage.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows were excellent. A different touch was that there was videos of the dancers & singers and the acrobats into their names and how they got to where they were.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our suite steward was excellent as was our waiters and assistant waiters. The wait staff's supervisor stopped by every table to see if we were satisfied and he even helped bus tables.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was spotless and you could tell that carpeting and furniture were new.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
About a week prior to our cruise, we got an email from RCCL with a option to bid on an upgrade. For a Junior suite upgrade we could bid as low as $50/person for the week or $100/person for the week. Our bid of $50/person was accepted, so we got a Junior Suite on Deck 10. It was about 100 sq ft bigger than the Outside Balcony cabin and the balcony was about 20 sq ft bigger. It a a full size bathtub, walk-in closet, a sofa with 2 chairs & coffee table. It also had a whole wall of cabinets, TV, & expresso maker.

Do to a few crew members testing positive for covid St. Lucia wouldn't allow us to enter. The affective crew worked in a non-passenger interfaced area.

Bridgetown, Barbados Did not visit port

I wasn't feeling well after what I had eaten so we decided to enjoy the ship.

Disembarkation

Our flight home was changed so requested a early disembarkation time at 8:00AM. We found our bags, got a taxi, and we're at the San Juan Airport by 9:15.
