Review summary

I have been on two cruises so far and enjoyed both of them very much. If I could change anything it would be that the Buffet should always be open from 6:30 A.M. until 11:00 P.M. They have the ability to close parts of it so when switching menu items (breakfast to lunch, lunch to dinner) they do not need to close the entire buffet. Also, coffee should always have cream as an option (half and half is not cream). I don't know why, but nobody on the ship or in Miami could serve a decent coffee and some were outright shocked that I would order it as a beverage.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
After the initial check in, I found embarkation to be a bit confusing. After receiving our sea-passes, there is no clear direction on what to do next, other than follow the crowd, a new cruiser is lost.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I would have given this a five star except for the Promenade Cafe`. Very little selection and they refused to offer cream for the coffee, milk only, not even half and half which was available in the Windjammer.

Café Promenade

2 out of 5

Coffee was poor quality and no cream. Very few selections for snacks and none that where diabetic friendly.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Looked like people where having fun but did not participate.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I really enjoyed all the performances.

Children's Programs

Did not bring children with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
They all did a fantastic job. My only complaint was when I decided to change the credit card I was using to pay the bill, they only charged a part to that card and charged the rest to the original card. That could have been a problem if the charge had been the full amount.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
While it is obvious that the ship needs to be updated, I have no complaints about the design and cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was as expected, but still a bit tight. You cannot walk around the end of the bed (set up as a king) past the couch or counter. An extra 2 inches would have made a big difference.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
I rented a car after the cruise. I am a professional driver and have driven in many cities across North America. Miami had the worst drivers I have ever seen and I have close to 5 million Km experience.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Nice beach day. Food was average.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
Took a nice tour around the island which I recommend if your there for the first time.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

3 out of 5
Took the city tour trolley. Basically a half ton pulling an open air trailer with seats in it.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Took a nice tour around the island which I recommend if your there for the first time. Saw most of the major tourist sites.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Escalator was not working which forced everyone onto an elevator 8 to 12 at a time. Made it a little slow but customs was a breeze.

I'm surprised you have not been able to source small, single serve cream pouches to carry with you for coffee. Now you are familiar with how things are served, you are ready next trip. I do miss my fresh daily avocado when I cruise, but hey, it won't stop me seeing the world. 😎😁
