Review summary

Explorer of the Seas offers high quality food and entertainment. The ship is stylish and comfortable, it is having a major refurbishment in 2020 which add even more facilities onboard. The itinerary change due to poor weather wasn’t brilliant but understandable. One of the best cruises I’ve had to date

Great port with loads of things to see and do, just watch out for the flies!

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Just one day is not enough to explore the rich history and amazing sights of this city. Be warned, it is very very busy

Gibraltar (U.K.)

2 out of 5
Gibraltar is never one of my favourite ports. Either do an excursion or don’t bother getting off

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
Pisa what a great trip but really only a half day. Florence is the better trip
