this was my first cruise. Not sure if the cruising part is for us. We found some of the activities boring and spent more of our time in our room enjoying the view. my children ages 22, 21, and 17 did seem to find plenty of things to enjoy. It felt that there was quite a bit of push to spend extra money. such as drink packages, art work, next cruise or stores in the promenade. We really enjoyed the ports much more. If we do cruise again we will likely pick a ship that has more ports of call and time in port to enjoy different areas of the world.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
only used the main dining room and the windjammer. both had great food. The service in all areas was top of the line.
Windjammer Marketplace

great food. the last night the sea food spread was good but they kept running out of crab legs. Also we like our crab legs warm not over ice.
breakfast was fantastic. the bacon was the best and there were so many good choices.
Main Dining Room

staff was fantastic and food was great.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
my family used the pool, hot tubs, and rock climbing wall.
the hot tubs were crowded. the pool was perfect temperature. the kids on the cruise aged 5 - 23 all were able to find things to do. the classes offered seemed rather boring or more in line with someone over 70. we are in our 50 and dont really like to drink so not much else to do for us..
Whirlpools
4 out of 5
a little bit crowded but felt great
Entertainment
4 out of 5
ice show was fantastic the. we attended the magic show and the muscical number and both were pretty good. several family members went to the comedy show and enjoyed it. they also really liked the british music show. I would have attended more shows but some were quite late. starting after 1030 pm.
Library & Card Room
3 out of 5
i have a daughter who spent quite a bit of time in the library per her choice. The games were all incomplete without instructions. she is OCD and spent time sorting puzzles and cards. she suggests that you hire a cruise librarian who could help people with games. books and activities for kids.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
all staff on the ship were fantastic. They seemed to really care and worked very hard to please the guests. The main dining staff did great job with the younger children on the cruise.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
the main layout was good. we had a group of 7 rooms on deck 6. the corridors were a little bit confusing and it wasn't always easy to get to the other side of rooms. not all hall ways had crossovers to the opposite side of the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
cabin was great. Bed was very comfortable. the balcony was great.
The insides of the drawers were a little bit dirty. otherwise really nice.
the excursions were fantastic but the main town area was over done with jewelry stores and the sales people were pushy. calling you out in the street and then if you did go in to look around constant pressure to buy.
we really liked skagway better than Juneau. This town had national parks centers and seemed more historic. the shops had a greater variety and the sales people were less pushy.
Victoria was beautiful. would love to have had more time in the port. not sure why we had to leave at 6 pm when seattle was only 2 hours away. I understand you have to pay more to stay in port but I could have stayed much longer and looked around more.
