Review summary

Poor customer service....For the amount of money you are paying for the cruise, some things should be free. 140.00 a week for WiFi that barely worked. Watered down drinks. Dining room food was disappointing.. First and last time sailing with Royal Caribbean.

Been on 2 previous RC cruises and have never had a problem with customer service, everyone went above and beyond and were happy to assist wherever they could. Food was always fantastic and drinks were never watered down, I fact some were so strong I needed to add soda to them, Haha. Looking forward to November for our cruise on explorer

Latitude may be the issue with the WIFI. RCCL,s VOOM internet is by far the best at sea (which isn't really saying much). I was able to do a direct comparison early this year between Princess (through the Panama Canal) and RCCL (Western Caribbean). On Princess, it took over 30 minutes to log on and read my first email message. Some Princess "Elite" passengers get 250 minutes free internet, but they complained that the service was so slow, 250 minutes only covered access and reading email for part of one day. Using VOOM on Allure, internet access was similar to our home access and speed. However, we were in the Caribbean. Using VOOM on our Alaskan cruise this Fall may be an adventure, judging from your experience. From our experiences and from talking to other cruise passengers (face-to-face, not reading internet reviews). RCCL dining room food is among the best. Other comparable cruise lines (Princess, Holland, NCL Carnival) Costa) may at times be as good, but none are consistently better. We have been on one RCCL cruise where the food was not up to their usual standards - maybe you were on a ship with poor chefs. The other reviewers on your cruise didn't seem to have a problem with the food. I've heard that the food on some of the Specialty (very expensive) cruise lines can be spectacular.

Our trip June 1st was great, although the wifi was very hit and miss. First time for that on a RC cruise we've had no issues in the Caribbean . But remember your dealing with the location (latitude.) Even the satellite TV channels were frequently breaking up, most sattelites are set for the lower 48 states.

Sailed on this ship a few years ago was great then but things change just got off celebrity sillouette the food was awful . You even had to pay extra for sauna or steam room

I've also heard wifi on the ships isn't good wifi. My son had it the whole time and we never paid for it. Idk how he managed that!

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. I hope your next cruise experience is much better.
