Explorer of the Seas

9 Night Bermuda & Caribbean (Cape Liberty Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 09, 2011

Ship: Explorer of the Seas

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Family (young children)

Reviewed: 13 years ago

Review summary

The ship's decor was dated and worn. We actually had a blood stained mattress pad. The pool towels were stained. There were a limited amount of poolside chairs available so laying out was not an option. The kids water slide was open for a very few select hours everyday and most were not convenient.

We spent time at a local beach and ate at a local spot that had good fresh food.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We went to a public beach and it was dirty and loud.

Pros: the friendly staff

Cons: the food, the worn out decor, lack of interesting things to do on board
