Review summary

From the very beginning of the cruise, we were impressed with the stateroom! It was very well appointed with many storage areas that made unpacking a breeze, and the new shower door feature was a big plus, (as there were no more wet floors and floppy curtains!) Also, having a curtain to draw by the beds and a safe was an extra plus. Our cabin attendant was excellent, and was always willing to accomodate any and all needs! The common areas were beautiful, and we were very impressed with the promenade and the unique dropped casino floor entranceway that was inlaid with coins and gold bars, etc. The shows were great and the ice show too fabulous for words! We liked the feature of the cafe, as we could always get a lite snack late into the evening. We also loved the beautiful adult roman pool and jacuzzi area. We were very impressed with the ports, as the locals were very friendly and the areas very clean, however the tenders were slow for people who weren't taking tours. The 0nly down side of the trip, was too many children and so many poorly behaved. We felt there should have been some security on the ship to keep watch on the children, as they raced through the ship and were riding the elevators in groups chasing each other later into the evening and also using very foul language and innuendos. We would never take another trip when school is out of session!!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining room was beautiful, however due to the open effect quite noisy. As a result we had to have our table switched the first evening, as we couldn't hear any conversation, espeically with a large musical combo playing as well. The food and service was superb and our female waiter was so attentive and good to us, we will miss her dearly! The gala buffet was a beautiful spectacle, but we wished it was a little earlier (ie: 11:30 PM,) as opening at 12:30 AM was a little late to start consuming food.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had nothing but praise for all the staff and they did everything they could to accommodate us and make it a wonderful experience.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Considering the large size of the ship, it was laid out very well, and we never felt we had huge hikes to the areas we needed to attend. We were very impressed how clean and ship was kept, even due to the large amount of passengers, and the decor was beautiful as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were very pleased with our stateroom, but wished the couch was just a little longer, as we used that as the third bed. The ladder had rungs that were too small and narrow, and made it hard for a senior to climb up and down, so the couch came in handy. The beds were very comfortable and a great improvement of the ships in the past.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Didn't tour, but shopped and found great buys.
Don't Miss: Silver jewelry

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
Didn't tour, but was disappointed in the shopping! Found the jewelry to be only very expensive and upscale, and very poor quality tee shirts in all stores. There were a very limited amount of stores, and I felt this island was more conducive to people who wanted enjoy the beauty and tours.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Didn't tour, but shopped and looked at plenty of jewelry and other souvenirs.

Belize City, Belize

3 out of 5
We didn't tour, but shopped only and found the locals very obliging and the area very clean.

Pros: Layout and elegance

Cons: Slow tenders and too many poorly behaven children
