A great cruise

Sail Date: February 11, 2007

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was beautiful - well maintained and the staff was very attentive. Especially notable was the stateroom attendant who remembered our names from day one and went out of his way to meet our every needs. The food was great, although the steaks that I had were not as good as one would find in a good steakhouse. The waitstaff throughout the ship were excellent with the exception of our waiter who rarely smiled and was not very attentive - the assitance waiter was exceptional.

The airline reservations made by the ship were terrible and made without any contact to see if we could make the times that the tickets were procured for. Suggest that people book their own air fares so that times & dates are more compatible with your personal needs.

The entertainment provided during the cruise was of "Las Vegas Quality and was superb!

Pros: The relaxing nature of the experience and the stateroom attendant

Cons: The airline reservations

Excellent except for our waiter (see prior comment)
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Only got of the ship long enough to do a little shopping so can't really give much of a review.
Belize City, Belize
Toured the Mayan ruins of Cahil Pech with a tour guide who was a descendant of the Mayan people. The tour was excellent and also provided the opportunity drive through the country-side while another tour guide told of the history of the country, it's politics & cultures, and the economic history.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Went parasailing and snorkeling. For first-time snorklers, it was outstanding; however, for those who have snorkled before, one should be careful which snorkeling trips to pick as some are only in the harbor with rather barren reefs and less-interesting wrecks to visit. The parasailing was great, but one should carefully pick this experience also as the larger the group, the less time one has actually parasailing.
Cozumel, Mexico
Visited the Mayan ruins of Tulume utilizing a tour company called Helaman Tours which was excellent. Beautiful setting with the large temple structure built on the cliffs above the wonderful white sand beaches of the Carribean Sea.
