Review summary

This cruise doesn't list Cuba on the itinerary, but half a day is spent just offshore of the north side of Cuba. It's in the distance, and you can't stop, but that too is a good day. This cruise has a great variety of very interesting islands included. The formerly Dutch colonies are completely different from the former Spanish colonies we have visited.

The artists at all venues were excellent, and the variety of styles provided was terrific, which is good, as this itinerary has more than the ususal number of sea days included.

Ship tip

Eurodam is heading to drydock for it's 5 year refit, so should be even better when it returns to service.

The Dutch islands really are different and interesting. Did an excursion. The cave is quite a pretty one, and our guide on the bus found flamingo chicks for us in a lagoon.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

We took the excursion to the Pacific side of the canal. The stop at Miraflores lock doesn't add much to what we saw a Gatun lock, but highly recommend the tour of Panama City and the old center is wonderful. If re-designing the tour would send less time at MIraflores and emphasize the old town.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

The National Park rain forest is wonderful. Didn't see any monkeys but maxed out on sloths and poison dart frogs. Guide was an entertaining speaker and very well educated on her subject.
