Review summary

We arrived to find someone had been in our room before us, charging things to the room. Our Daughters' room was double-booked, so they didn't have a room until 8pm. When their luggage arrived, one of my daughter's suitcase was missing, leaving her to borrow clothes from her sister, until her suitcase finally arrived (with its tags intact). Guest services was almost rude about all of this, instead of trying to make things up to the family. We have cruised many, many times, but this was our first (and last) Holland America cruise. The food, especially the vegetarian options was poor - doesn't anyone taste it? On the positive side, the Indonesian crew are very friendly and the BB King Band was fabulous.

When I read things like this I can only conclude that the staffing side has been short sheeted, as we used to say in college. I had a subtle but clear bad feeling/experience on Celebrity Silhouette due to the clicky and aggressive passengers. Not Celebrity's fault but I wouldn't sail the Silhouette ever again. It doesn't make sence but there you have it.
