Review summary
Eurodam is a 5 star rated ship (on a 6 star rating system). I've been on about 25 cruises, and the 5 star rating is a very fair evaluation of a Eurodam cruise. Food in the specialty restaurants is equal to the food on 6 star ships. Food in the main dining room is not at the 6 star level, but still excellent for the cost of the cruise. Also in the food catagory is the Culinary Arts Center. As affectionados of the Food Network, we enjoyed our almost daily visits to the CAC. Staterooms are superior to those on most other ships. We particularly appreciated the soundproofing - staterooms on either side were occupied, but we never heard them. Ports of call are pretty standard, except for Half Moon Cay, which is the best "day at the beach" experience I've had. The ship is well-designed and very well maintained. Staff know what they're doing, and they do it well. No ship is perfect, and the Eurodam is no exception. Overall entertainment is a little soft (although the BB King Group is fantastic!). Second sitting dining is not quite as much fun, with so many passengers heading in different directions (open seating; 3 specialty restaurants; dining service in the Lido). But I'm sure for every one of us second sitting lovers, there are folks who love the open seating option. With all due respect to the posters who are highly critical of the Eurodam, rating the ship with one star is irrational. At current price points, this is a solid value in cruising.Ship experiences
