The only negative I found... by jackieahlfeld

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

The only negative I found was that smoking was allowed on the pool deck. I respect the choice to smoke, but I don’t think it’s ok for nonsmokers to not have choice about being around smoking. Luckily, it wasn’t too overwhelming. This was my first cruise with RCCL but my 7th cruise overall. I felt all the cruise lines have been pretty similar, yes even to Disney! The main difference I’ve seen between RCCL with Disney, Princess, Celebrity, and Norwegian was the pool deck smoking. I thought the food was overall good, with highs and lows. The Windjammer Buffet was extremely crowded at lunch on embarkation day but the rest of the cruise it wasn’t too bad. That could be because we were up there for breakfast earlier than most people who slept in. We did MyTime Dining with reservations in My Fair Lady. We requested to keep our serving team for the entire cruise. There were a couple times the food was cold when it was expected to be hot. Also, being a party of 2 our table was really close to the other two tops and it was awkward for our little rows of tables to come and go and squeeze in and out of the space. We really enjoyed spending time in The Schooner Bar for the various trivia events, although we never won! In Nassau, we did the Essential Nassau tour. It was our first time in Nassau so we wanted to do some exploring, especially if we go back. It was a good tour! Our day on CocoCay was canceled due to wind which was disappointing. The good news was that the decision was made before we left Nassau so we stayed in port for most of the next day. We went to the pool...it was nice since there wasn’t all the wind that you get when the boat is moving and you are trying to sit by the pool!! We did go see the Comedian on night 1 and Juggle on night 3. They were both pretty funny! I didn’t like paying an extra $9 for the Coco Loco pineapple drink, but I had to try it! There were some maintenance issues that other people have reported in their reviews, like rust, or railings that need varnish, but that’s all I really noticed. The bathroom has a sewage smell, but mostly when the toilet seat is up. We would consider this cruise again, especially for the price! Definitely get the drink package!

Surprise Birthday Cruise by Marciv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was a very fun cruise for our first. We loved the ship and all of the activities, entertainment and food. Very disappointed that we didn’t get to Cococay and Nassau is not very nice so I suggest you do an excursion there or taxi to Cabbage Beach or walk to Junkanoo for free.

Good ship overall and since I’ve been in bigger it was just mediocre Dining Food was great like always but to be honest I was a little disappointed in chops grille Boarding/departure Very smooth being in a suite helped a lot Cabin Always good because your barley ever in their but it was nice having a bigger room

First Cruise for my husband... by TheHyltons

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

First Cruise for my husband and I. Honestly would recommend this short weekend cruise to everyone. Staff was amazing and entertainment was great. Something going on a the time. Would not recommend this for the “family” as this boat is limited on kid activities compared to other ships.

Disappointing by WmWallace

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disappointing. Lack of variety of menu options, both in main dining and Windjammer; tour in Nassau was two hours of the driver poining out gas stations, car dealerships, churches, with minimal stops to explore. One stop made was at a Fort no longer open to tours (read "tourist shopping trap"). Weather resulted in overnight/extra day in Nassua, which is not exactly a "highlight."

Perfect for first time cruisers.... by jstackhouse01

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Perfect for first time cruisers. The ship may be one of the smaller ones but it has a lot to offer. I would definitely recommend trying the speciality dining restaurant, Chops Grille for dinner. They take reservations and the food is amazing. The food in the formal dining room My Fair Lady was excellent as well. There was always something for everyone to do. Spending the extra money for a grand suite was well worth it as well. The room was beautiful and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating. Definitely go to the shows. My husband and I went each night of the cruise and they all did not disappoint. Overall a great experience!

Just cruised on this ship... by RyanNJenna

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Just cruised on this ship last week. Had a great time. Its an older ship, but it’s got a certain charm about it. Service was fantastic and the entertainment was wonderful. I highly recommend chops grill, the filet mignon was excellent.

We disembarked the Enchantment on... by Vaufam

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

We disembarked the Enchantment on Friday and had an amazing trip! Service in all areas was exemplary (Carlo and Evelyn in the main dining room were fantastic!). The food in the main dining room was varied and perfectly prepared. Food in the windjammer had less variety but, for the most part, was also delicious. I much preferred the desserts in the dining room over the ones in the Windjammer. The shows we went to were very entertaining and we are still laughing over the Love and Marriage Show. Cruise director Bobby was amusing and did a great job, especially at the belly flop competition. We stayed on deck 8. There was an odor of something in the hallway sometimes, but we never smelled it in our room. Our steward, Jomil, took great care of us! Over all, we LOVED this cruise. I’ve heard reviews that there was not much to do, but we never had an issue with that! There was always something going on and plenty of activities to keep us busy and time to relax with a drink by the pool. Yes, it is a slightly older ship and could use some updating, but it was beautiful and we would highly recommend it.

Awesome ship, would give 5... by mjyl1021

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Awesome ship, would give 5 stars but there where two issues! 1st. Was told from a friend that my time dinning was great. So we decided to try it out. It just wasn't for us, didn't like making a reservation then arrived for my dinner and then had to wait in the reservations line for the table. So our next cruise we will just stick with the assignment time and table. 2nd. The Solarium I thought was just for adults but on this cruise we had several families with children in this area and I didn't see anything about adults only ! May be the reason for this is they have the Cafe that serves pizza in this area? Otherwise it was a awesome time ship, staff, and entertainment was awesome. Love Royal Caribbean !!!

Good Cruise by tammybuhler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The cruise was good for a shorter cruise. The ship is getting a little out dated and some of the activities were more aimed at an older crowd. The food was great with a lot of selection. No room service morning of disembarkation which was frustrating as the dining area was only open a short time and was very busy making it impossible to have breakfast before our shuttle left.
