Review summary

We have cruised on Princess, Carnival and Royal Caribbean and always come back to RC. We have been on the bigger ships and the smaller ones. I personally (59 yr old female) love the smaller ships for keeping up with my loved ones. If I was taking teenagers, they'd probably like the bigger ones with all the STUFF. I like seeing the water as much as possible from every part of the ship!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Tampa is a small terminal but they kept the lines moving!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very good but not gourmet. Plenty of food everywhere.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Plenty to do and the ship is small enough to find others in your party. Loved the Solarium, Hot Tubs, Workout Center and Nighttime Activities

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As usual, we loved all of the staff. Especially the hand sanitizer "washy-washy" ladies! The ship may be older but super clean everywhere. The rooms just get done up once a day now (I know sad) but cabin steward brought ice everyday for out wine we brought on board.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
LOVE the layout of this ship. So much going on in the centrum lobby area and you can see and participate on many different decks. I love the cozy feel of this ship over the giant cruise ships! It may finding people in your party easy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Super small! And didn't choose wisely. We were right above the lounge that had late night activities. Could barely turn around by the closet, but love the interior rooms for the price. We love to wake up and go up top and take in all the views. Cabin steward was excellent and brought ice everyday without asking. We chilled our wine that we brought on board.

Ship tip

Make use of the Viking Crown Lounge at odd hours. We loved to watch the sunrise or sunsets with our grandson up there so he could run around safely. Enjoy and be kind to all staff and other passengers. Windjammer Cafe gets CROWDED - try to go at off times.

We just went on the Enchantment of the Seas in Nov. while the ship was clean, the entertainment and atmosphere was boring. The MDR was good, but the buffet was terrible.
