This was one of the more exciting cruises, bad seas and detours, but it was fun, fun, fun. There was a lot of activity planned even the seas were rough, but crew and other ship personnel were kind, helpful, and very upbeat. Loved this trip!!!!!

Review summary

Wonderful! Am doing it again next year. Enchantment is a great ship for this trip. There were a multitude of countries represented on this voyage. Enjoyed speaking with Germans, Canadians, South Americans, people from United Kingdom, Denmark, as well as the polyglot crew.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The easiest I ever had with Royal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was taken care of and any hiccups were immediately taken care either through a credit or a "freebie."

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Being up there in age, no rock climbing. Dancing, bingo, musical activities, shows, casino.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very, very good. Great soloist and magician.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Professional, efficient, courteous.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's a little older and needs some updating, but more than adequate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very good, wonderful location, and much to see through the windows on days the sea was too rough to go out on the decks.

Ship tip

Having sailed Enchantment before, all locations are fine. Depends on what you are personally looking for.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Walked around town.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
Walked around town.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

5 out of 5
Very interessting.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Too many ships with too many people (I believe there were 7 ships there on that day).

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

Home port.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Somewhat confusing, ticket numbers were called, but after leaving the ship, the port personnel would not let people into baggage claim area stating the bags were not there. However, they were, but they seemed to give Pinnnacle and Key priority even though other numbers had been called. Found this a little disturbing and unusual.

The Enchantment is a real beauty. We sailed on her in 2018.
