Review summary
overall a good cruise and we like leaving out of Baltimore. However, because the Casino allows smoking in one area, and it was cold, many non-gamblers cam in to smoke and the ventilation system could not handle it. It was horrible for non-smokers. A sign clearly says only people gambling could smoke, but every day there were 10-30 extra smokers filling up the smoke space just to smoke and that was never enforced. Made it unbearable toward the end.Embarkation

Food and Dining
My Fair Lady Dining Room
The new menus are not so great. We need them to add the classics back. Also, the chef needs to learn how to cook the various foods. On Italian night they featured Lasagna tyhat did not follow any recipe known to mam. The meat was not cooked in the sauce and was layered on the noodles. Dry. No cheese layer. the lasagna was placed on top of the sauce. horrible taste and even hard to cut. However, the Head Waiter Jared and his team went out of their way to make our dining experience wonderful. My wife has food allergies (shellfish) and restrictions (no soy) and would routinely eat the grilled salmon (previous classic) every night. We asked fort salmon and the chef came out and told us he could not provide it. We then discovered the grilled salmon was on the room service menu so there was no reason not to provide it. Jared got her the grilled salmon from room service each night after he learned it was available there.
Park Cafe
great quick venue for all meals and the pizza was very, very good.
Concierge Lounge
outstanding service albeit limited snacks and hours. Ava, our concierge was great. She go to know every one of her guests. Unlike the Oasis where the concierges never got to even know our names.
Onboard Activities
Casino Royale
too smoky. Non-gamblers were using the casino to smoke so they didn't have to go outside. Royal, and all cruise lines, should consider a total smoking ban for inside venues. Non-smokers make up a much larger portion on travelers than smokers.
