Review summary

This was not of expectations. Prepare to spend money for any extra activities onboard and automatic gratuity for poor services.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Sail time was at 3pm. We sat in the terminal from 1pm till 5pm waiting with 500 other passengers for clearance to travel

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Most service was bad as we would get the wrong orders. Food was equivalent to a hospital cafeteria at both main dining and the windjammer buffet. Specialty restaurants did not have an appealing menu to justify the upcharge.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Very unorganized and full of problems. Staff was unprepared ahead of time to execute activities. Spa was very professional. We got a couples massage that was very nice.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
This was the only full positive experience we had. Bobby the director did an amazing job with organizing and execution of all the entertainment.

Children's Programs

We didn't travel with our children

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
This area varied across the ship. We found a waiter that was amazing and requested him at each meal. Our stateroom attendant was also phenomenal.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship decor is outdated from the 90's but the staff was diligent at keeping it clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
As expected for an inboard cabin. The shower was smaller than expected and the shower head needed repairs which I completed myself.

Ship tip

Pick another option.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Embarkment port.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

2 out of 5
Very unorganized and not enough time to enjoy the area. We were able to attend 1 out of 2 excursions due to weather. The glass bottom pirate cruise was fantastic.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Also very unorganized. We had scheduled to leave at 9:05 am and we're instructed to stay untill our group was called. Crew was pushing us off the ship even though our group was not called.

The key to this review is 'expectations'. Enchantment is a smaller and older ship. It doesn't have the activities that the larger ships have. I personally love the Enchantment. It meets all my expectations for a quiet, relaxing and wonderful cruising experience.

Sorry to hear that the cruise did not meet your expectations. Perhaps the next one will be better.

If you choose to cruise a second time, you may want to try a newer ship with more amenities. We cruised on the Enchantment in March and it was so-so, whereas our February cruise aboard the Brilliance out of Tampa was excellent! The "aftermath" of COVID is also negatively affecting the overall experience of many cruise ships. Let's all hope it approves over time!

Maybe you're better off with a land vacation cruising does not seem to be your cup of tea

Yikes! Sorry things were not up to expectations. Curious as to why only two stars if waiter and room attendant were good.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Cruising may not be your “thing”.

It appears that cruising is experiencing a lot of hiccups, but it may never meet your expectations
