Poor experience. Very old ship; poor, bland food; uninteresting activities for a more discerning individual. The food was particularly dissappointing.

Review summary

I will be very interested to see if anyone actually reads this review and responds. Unfortunately, my experience on this ship turned me off to any future cruises with Royal Caribbean.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Long, slow moving lines and poor advance communications regarding customs information needed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I was anticipating good food but it was the most disappointing aspect of the trip -- it was no better than a "Golden Coral" restaurant.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Bingo is simply not my idea of interesting activities. The selection caters to fairly inane and boring activities or those who drink a lot.

Entertainment

1 out of 5

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
This is the singular area where I was uniformly impressed. The staff was cheerful, attentive and the service excellent.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Although kept very clean by the staff, the ship is very old and the cabin furniture (we had a suite) was damaged and looked like something out of a 1970s Holiday Inn. Very disappoiting.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Sie was fine. and it was clean. It was extremely old and damaged though.

Ship tip

Don't.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

1 out of 5

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

1 out of 5
Not near the two principal towns

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was easy and fairly quick to disembark.

That's strange, because my trip was the exact opposite. The thing that surprised me most was the staff seemed to already know my name. The food was great every night. I went in March and May. Baltimore is a great port to sail from. They treat you really good. If you need a wheelchair, they'll give you a seat until they get you one. Much better than Cape Liberty.

Sorry to hear that this cruise didn't meet your expectations. Please don't base all cruises just on one. Perhaps try a different ship. Maybe a newer and larger ship is for you. We have been on several cruises & really enjoy the smaller mature (older) ships. Hope your next cruise is better.

Before booking a cruise, its a good idea to research the ship you’re considering sailing on. Had you done that, you would know this is one of the smallest and oldest ships in the fleet, which may explain why you got a nice, low price. You get what you pay for. If you choose to judge an entire cruise line based on their oldest and smallest ship, its your loss. 🤷‍♀️

This person was just writing a review. If you don’t agree that’s fine but really no need to take it personally and bash this person.

Seek out a newer ship with more amenities. Unfortunately the "aftermath" of COVID is negatively affecting many cruise ships. Let's hope cruising improves as we move forward!

Appreciate your review. Did you not know the age of the ship before you booked?

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Happy you recognize how hard the crew work. The cruise lines can’t have only new ships because it isn’t like a hotel where a renovation only takes paint and such. Plus the environment of the sea is harsh. Appreciate your feedback. But like others have mentioned, if you want RCCL to see it , this isn’t the location.

I was on this ship in 2011 and my opinion matches yours. This was my first and last Royal cruise.

I can assure you that no one from Royal Caribbean will be reading or responding to this review from this website. It sounds like cruising is definitely not for you if you did not enjoy one thing on the cruise.
