Review summary

Great cruise, wonderful staff on Enchantment. Great food and service in the main dining room. Avoid Chops Grill, excellent food with poor service at an extra charge. Enchantment OTS is a small ship without much for children to do. We could not dance in the evening because of the children running and jumping on the dance floor. This used to be a good cruise for adults. I don't know if it was the short cruise or kids go free week but it wasn't for me.

Great shopping on The Strand. Fisherman's Wharf next to cruise terminal has good food and drink with view of the channel.

It's getting better. Lots of improvements happening. Beware of the locals exchange rate, pay your bill in pesos or you get poor exchange rate if they convert to dollars.

The Port of Galveston cannot or will not repair the gangways. All passengers must exit and board on deck one thru the shore gangplank, a very slow process.
