We got ripped off. We were told kids sail free, they charged us a fee and told us they would have to change our room to accommodate 3 people. That was a lie. They kept us in the same room we booked for 2 people. So 3 people crammed in a tiny room, on 2 twin beds, it was miserable. We were miserable for 5 days. Will never use this company again.

Hummm according to the cruises you do it sure doesn’t show 2-3 times a year. Why all the stars if you’re so unhappy? May your words don’t really speak the truth.

I'm calling fake on this. Or horribly misguided. As an adult, you should know exactly what you are booking. If you didn't, that's on you.

Always have to pay taxes port fees and gratuity on each person. Even if sailing “free”. This review sounds made up. Over 4 star rating?

This wasn't something that you learned while on the ship. You would have known ahead of time when you booked the cruise. If there are 3 people then there ship has a a bed or pull out sofa for the extra person. Of course the room can be cramped but obviously your child is young, since you got them free. Not the first time you have sailed with Royal so not sure how you didn't know this.

Yeah I don't understand something here. They can't put 3 people in a 2 person room. Can't. It would throw off the lifeboat count among other things. It sounds like they charged you for gratuity which, if you cruise often, you'd know about.

They probably only charged the taxes for the child and gratuities. Your room wouldn't have been any bigger with 3 people. The third person would be sleeping on a couch or a Pullman bed out of the wall or ceiling. Someone didn't give you the correct information.
