Review summary

We had a great Cruise Vacation. We have cruises schedule for 2020 & 2021. April can't get here fast enough ! We were very happy with RCCL & the Enchantment. A cruise is what you make it. Do the research ahead of time for the ports & what you want to do.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick & Easy. On the ship in 15-20 minutes !

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food at the Main Dining Room, The Windjammer Buffet, & The Park Cafe was all very good. We had no complaints. The Service was first rate & the Crew was always helpful !

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We used the Solarium Pool regularly. Walked the track for a mile every morning. We never made it to the rock wall, just kept too busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The comedians were good. The Royal Orchestra & the Ships performers & Singers were very good. We went to a couple shows both early & late because they were so good.

Children's Programs

No Children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Head Waiter in the Main Dining Room was Ajay . He was a lot of fun & made sure that everyone was pleased with their meal & the service. Stephen up in the Windjammer kept things running smoothly !

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean & in good re[pair for it's age. There is some rust in spots on the exterior... but it is a steel ship surrounded by salt water & salt air. The crew is constantly working to complete paint work & keep her looking good. The job is never done. We found the interior common areas to be clean & in good repair.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was what we have come to expect in an interior cabin on RCCL. It was as advertised. We found the bed comfortable & there was adequate drawers & Closet area. We did have an issue with the safe in the room not opening, but maintenance came up & fixed it. The bathroom is compact with a shower. It is not spacious , but it is functional. Our room Steward did a great job of keeping things tidy & stocked with ice !

Ship tip

Don't believe all of the negative things you see online. This is an older & smaller ship than the floating amusement parks they are building now. We liked that there was rarely a line to get into anything. We booked another cruise on Enchantment for fall 2020 !

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
This is where we sailed from. There is a lot to see & do if you are visiting. Good Restaurants.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
We did a beach day & had a nice time. beach was clean. The locals were friendly. The water was a very comfortable temperature. Nice sandy bottom makes it easy to walk without water shoes.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did the Mayan Chocolate Factory for Chocolate Margaritas, then the Atlantis Submarine, & then into town for lunch at Pancho's Backyard ! Cozumel is always a blast !

Disembarkation

Quick & easy. Only took about 20 minutes off the ship, collect luggage, & customs. Very nice.
