Very disappointed that we spent so much for a spacious balcony and got a very small room. Very old, little amenities, we were charged for everything! Rough waters and beds would shake! Go on another cruise line but not this one!

Ship tip
Check age of ship, size and don’t pay for older ships!
Sorry you didn't have a good time. I have sailed Enchantment and loved it. Only spent real $$ in the casino. Knew it was a smaller ship and wanted just that for 100% relaxation. Different strokes.
I’m thinking this is a fake review. If not, you didn’t research the ship before you went. We were many years ago and the cabins were the same size as other ships we have been on . Very spacious for 2 people. We loved the ship. Maybe cruising isn’t for you!
Sorry you didn't enjoy the cruise. (You should have talked to your agent about your needs and expectations before you booked) The base cruise fare is the entry level. Coffee is available but you pay for Starbucks, Ice cream is available but you pay for Ben and Jerry's. Main restaurant and buffet are complimentary but you pay for chops grille. Basic drinks are available but you pay for alcohol and soft drinks.
If you are used to driving a Lexus, would you expect the same from a Ford?
My first cruise was booked on a new ship (2 months old at the time) took a couple of bargain cruises after that. I would recommend looking at these different ships to find your style.
Carnival Glory,
Norwegian Escape,
Royal Caribbean Navigator.
If you haven't found a mass market line to your liking then try a Princess Cruise, Celebrity Cruise, Holland America or Disney.
I hope you don't give up on cruises but you need to find the right one for you. Enchantment of the Seas is a good ship but not for me. I prefer Majesty of the Seas over Enchantment, however the cabins on Majesty are 25%smaller than Enchantment so you would not like it.
I was in this same ship - the same time. My experience was completely different. We are walkers and the walking path was only closed one morning due to high winds. Better to be on the boat then knocked overboard I guess! It is a smaller ship so you will definitely feel the waves more. My room was no smaller than the room on Carnival’s Breeze which is a much larger ship. I found the service to always be helpful and friendly. They work really hard! I do think I prefer the larger ship but thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. Be careful of your expectations- it can make or break your vacation!
To refill water bottles you need to ask for glasses of water. They can't put your water bottle to the water machine due to germs. I'm sorry you didn't research your ship. Did you sail during the recent tropical storm in the gulf?
Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. Many of the complaints you list are common issues on all cruise lines. The rooms are relatively small (less than 185 sq ft) on most cruise lines unless you get the largest suites. The movement of the ship was due to rough seas, not the specific ship or cruise line. You said you were charged for everything, but you are not required to spend anything over and above the basic cruise fare and daily tips. We rarely purchase anything additional and have a great time.
