It was a very great experience overall, glad we went! Not sure if we’ll go back because I got so sea sick :(
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy on barely had to wait, there was slight confusion as no one offered to take our checked bags outside so we ended up carrying them on the ship ourselves
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We honestly mostly ate room service and snacks in the solarium because I was sea sick and barely ate... but we did not have good experience in main dining room. VERY Rushed service. Kinda disappointed because I was most excited for main dining room. Buffett was good the few times I ate there, my boyfriend enjoyed buffet the best as he could eat burgers for every meal lol overall food was good, just disappointed with main dining room service and the layout of buffet was very weird.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Didn’t go to any planned activities, enjoyed time in the jacuzzis.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The comedy shows were funny and the love and marriage show was definitely funny, must go to activity on the ship, in my opinion.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most staff was very nice and upbeat. Still disappointed about that main dining room experience. We hung out near oasis bar, they were great!
Ship Quality

We had balcony and I noticed the ships main attractions, such as bars and restaurants were very clean and kept up with but our room was not the cleanest and needs some updating
Cabin / Stateroom

I loved the balcony views and so glad we spent some extra coin for the room, but there were many things that need upgrading in the room and the bed was SO uncomfortable. I am biased though because we are spoiled and have tempurpedic bed at home haha it was very spacious room which I am grateful for because I’m claustrophobic.
We loved Galveston. It’s a beautiful town with lots of history and very nice people. We stayed on the strand the night before, we did not make it on other side of island before we left.
Very easy to get out of the port shop area, took us left than 10 min from walking off ship but we had hard time navigating back thru the shops to get back to ship. It took us well over 20 min haha we kept going in circles.
That’s hard to believe that there were no porters to take your luggage. That’s how they make their money. We’ve been on 9 cruises. I’ve never not seen and porters waiting to take your luggage.
My wife starts taking bonine two days before a cruise. And takes two a day during a cruise. And, upto four days after a cruise. It works very well for her, doing our 13th cruise in Oct. I hope you don’t let getting sea sick stop you from cruising. Sounds like both of you still had a good time.
I thought they would be ready to grab our luggage too! But unfortunately not lol we even asked someone before we walked in and they said we could just carry it on. We were first time cruisers so the whole thing was confusing tbh.. also I was taking Dramamine the whole time! I would definitely try the patch if we end up trying a cruise in the future! I would love to try Alaskan cruise!
