Pretty sure we will always be "loyal to Royal"
Love the atmosphere, the ships, the service, all of it!
We live 15 minutes from the Port, so the convenience is partially what drives us to get on a ship about every 6 months!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We opted for RC's "The Key" promo...Never had to stop once after we got through security! Easy to board and be where we wanted within about 20 minutes after parking the car!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Lunch in Choppes Grille! (another perk of The Key) Main dining room is always on point! The Windjammer stills needs a bit of updating, but was happy with what we had.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Activities are always plentiful, however, we opted to make this cruise ALL about relaxation and just getting away! No overexertion here!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Managed to see a late night "adult" comedy show. David Nastor is really funny!
Children's Programs
No kids...
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Always top notch! From the room attendants to the dining room servers and everyone who makes the ship move, Royal is #1 for us!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I give the Enchantment 5 stars, but it is getting older, and I'm surprised after the multi-million dollar "lengthening process" that parts of the ship are still showing their age. Rust is beginning to show in many places, and some work was being done while at Coco Cay. Overall though, the ship was fabulous in every detail. The interior was well kept, and looked as if it was brand new!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was always kept neat by our wonderful steward, Dexter! Size was a bit small, but since it was just me and the wife, we managed to make the best of it. The bathroom was just right, however, the shower was too small; and we actually heard that from other guests as well.
Ship tip
Expect the ship to look her age, but don't discount the perks you'll get when you sail on her! Been on Enchantment many times, and she never fails to deliver and represent the RC class and tradition of excellence!
Nassau is still working out "the kinks"
Probably won't leave the ship again when we dock here...The "locals" will always hound you for a taxi, sightseeing tours, etc...and I get it, it's their livelihood; but once I've said "no" the guy standing right next to him doesn't need to ask as well.
I don't buy a lot of jewelry and the last local food place left a "bad taste"
The changes RC is making are terrific! If you want to swim in the ocean or lay on the beach, you can! If you want to swim in or lay by the resort-style pool, you can do that too!
Once the island is complete, you can relax away from everything on the far side, or be in the middle of it all...There will be something for everyone!
Had one last breakfast in the main dining room, and then got off the ship! No waiting in a separate area until "our number was called"...Another perk of The Key! Tipped a porter to grab the bags, avoid the long line through customs and was in the car about 20 minutes after we left the ship!
If I live that close I would go on a cruise every month I think my wife would kill me but I still go on a cruise every month keep on Kruzan I love the cruise
