Enchantment of the Seas

4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Sail date: February 11, 2019

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Cabin number: 4575

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

You can tell this is an older boat with less attention to details than the newer boats. Both staff and fellow cruisers could care less about the dress code even on formal night. There was a surprising number of children and the parents tended to let them do as they wanted throughout the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The quality of food has either slipped on all Royal Caribbean cruises or just this one.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The adults only solarium retractable ceiling was never opened. It looked like it was rusted shut.

Entertainment

Entertainment didn't appeal to us.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We were on the 4th floor, our friends on the 7th. There was a difference in attention between the floors. Our wait staff was very good, seemed very rushed though.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall ship was clean enough. It looked like they started redecorating in some of the bars but hadn't quite finished. There was a mixture of old furniture and new so the colors were off.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
This is a tiny room, but we knew that. However the laundry was next to us. On 2 nights, we were awakened at 3 in the morning with scraping and thumps.

Ship tip

This is an older ship.

Ports of call

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

4 out of 5
Loved this island. Very clean, staff very friendly. We booked a private cabana and enjoyed that. The market was nice and the people working there were pleasant, not pushy.

Nassau, Bahamas

We walked around on our own. Visited the Watleys distillery, the chocolatier, and a winery. Very nice.
