Review summary

This was my first experience aboard this ship but not my first RC cruise. However; this one was well worth the time and money for a holiday getaway albeit it a short one, we were not lacking for anything that could have made this experience more impressive. A perfect trip!

Embarkation

Being a Gold (now Platinum) RC member, our set appointment was so easy and made the trip from the car to the cruise ship a 10 minute venture. Wow....that was easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room- My Fair Lady, is absolutely beautiful. With the 2 floors of dining space, we never felt crowded and had a table for 5 for my family. I prefer to not be placed with another larger or mixed group as we had two of my grandchildren with us. The tables, chairs, and atmosphere of the dining room was wonderful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are no shortages of activities here on this ship.....very well organized and a lot of fun! Take time to make a few of the trivia contests.....it was fun for the family and was attended by groups of all ages. The pool never felt too crowded and access to the hot tubs was easy.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
While the DJ's on this ship seemed to keep things moving along with the crew staff that kept the guests involved, the production by the RC singers and dancers was absolutely enjoyable. Great choreography and vocals.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Gabriel and Mohammed are the most awesome in the dining room! Yogi, our room steward, kept our rooms clean and always went above and beyond to make the grandchildren feel special. Bar staff for the most part were friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very easy to navigate and never felt crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

How awesome was the balcony deck on this aft facing room!!!! Huge balcony and the room was larger than I had expected. Very quiet above and around. The back of the ship is the place to be.

Ship tip

Do your homework before your next cruise to secure the best room available or that meets your needs. Get the RC app on your phone and you'll be glad to be able to easy find and navigate your way around the ship, operation times, and all of the available activities. While in the past I would scour over the daily compass, on this cruise with the app I simply swiped to what I was looking for and found even more!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Been there.... done that....my 10th visit. For first timers, yes....get off the ship and walk around or take an excursion. For all others as myself.....stay on board. There's plenty to see and do.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

4 out of 5
Was a little disappointed that the dock that was supposed to be built by this time is still not complete and that we had to take the tenders. Lots of construction going on to complete the new surroundings, but there was still some areas open to the water and relaxation.....although it did feel like the beach chairs and chaises were moved too close together so that areas could be under construction.

Disembarkation

When you come down the ramp.....look for the guys with the large floats offering to get your luggage for you. OMG....what a huge help. We were loaded, taken to the express clearance area, and out to the car in less than 15 minutes. Tip well!
