Review summary

This is my first RCCL Cruise. I typically cruise with NCL and based on pros and cons will continue to cruise with NCL based on service and cleanliness/quality of ship(s).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Minimal specialty restaurants (Chops Grille). My Time dining experience not very good. Wait staff confused orders and not very attentive. Chops Grille was great, with a special shout-out to Hashtag, our waiter for 2 evenings. Buffet food was good but seating was limited.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our suite attendant was phenomenal, as was the staff in Chops Grille. Guest services staff were very rude when trying to coordinate missing luggage that would be arriving from the airport. Wait staff in the entertainment venues and/or bar venues was almost non-existent. They appeared miraculously on our last night at sea. This cruise ship is still using straws while the other cruise lines have eliminated their use for environmental reasons.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
This ship is in need of refurbishment. Lots of rust bleeding through paint, cracked tiles and cracked sinks, missing grout, leaking shower doors.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

I live locally and parked in the parking lot that is about 1/4 mile from the cruise terminal. Had to wait for a shuttle bus for 45 minutes in 90+ degree heat (no shade). The lot personnel were disorganized and could not remember who was waiting for what ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

Participated in the Sea Lion Encounter. Make sure you eat on the ship before going on this excursion. By the time you finish the activity on the island it is 3pm, and the small bar/restaurant stops serving food at 3pm. The wait line to view photos is long and time consuming. You can ask for a website at the photo checkout counter and view and order online for 28 days following the excursion......skip the lines.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Had to by-pass this day in the sun. The waves were too high for the tenders to safely transport and dock guests, and the Captain opted for safety.

You wasted your time and money on Enchantment ... now go ahead and waste more on a bigger boat and longer cruise with RC. Childish logic.

Try a newer ship in the fleet. Enchantment is nice but it is one of their oldest/smallest ships.

We loved the Enchantment when we went but that was back in 2009!!

I prefer Royal Caribbean

You should try a newer ship, don't base the whole fleet on one of their older ships.

It seems like you were not happy with anything on your vacation sorry to hear about that but you should never sweat the small stuff don’t give up on Crouzon maybe you should go back to NCL I love the cruise

Poor choice of ship to judge RC by, the pool deck is rough, but NCL has old ships too

The Enchantment is an older, smaller ship. Try one of the newer, larger RCCL ships. You might enjoy them more.
