Review summary

I'll be going with Disney or Carnival next time. This was my third and last time cruising aboard a Royal Caribbean ship. I have cruise on Grandeur and splendor but enchantment was disappointing.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast & friendly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food in the dining room & wind jammer's lunch was ok. Wind jammer breakfast was inedible.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Unless you are a night owl, the activities are few. Not as family oriented as I expected.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The nightly shows were excellent. There were no planned family activities during the day. My daughter wasn't into the hairiest man contest or belly flop. Wish there had been something for the kids to do.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
I was not informed of any kids activities until the last night. There was child watch but no parent & child together activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very attentive

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship is old and needs maintenance. The Jacuzzis had grey & black patches. Gross.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was ok. Nothing spectacular.

Ship tip

Book one of the newer ships. The food sucked & the pool area was dirty. If you do take a chance on this ship, don't walk on the pool deck barefoot! My daughter sustained burns on the soles of her feet when she got out of the pool & couldn't find her flip flops. Also, don't leave your drinks unattended. The crew snagged our pina coladas & beer (untouched! Completely full!) When my husband and I were carrying our daughter with her burned feet back to our table. We were gone less that 2 minutes & our drinks disappeared.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Get to Cococay early so you can get a beach chair

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
You'll need a shore excursion if you're going to see the beach

Disembarkation

Quick & easy

Why was it closed midafternoon

I was disappointed in Enchantment too. Windjammer food was bland and it was closed midafternoon. Not much entertainment either.

Why was it disappointing

Short cruises tend to be disappointing on all lines.
