Review summary

I've cruised RCCL many times but this was the worst ship by far. The cabins are extremely run down. Carpets faded, Mirrors peeling, toilet seats rotting, beds were the worst...hard and lumpy. The bartender to guest ratio was terrible as well. Had to wait an average of 25 minutes to get a drink. Now they have also imposed a $7.95 service fee for room service which has been traditionally no charge since the beginning of time. In the Chops restaurant which you pay an additional $35 per person to dine, they now impose upcharges to the up charge for certain menu choices that are nothing spectacular causing the service charge to go from $35 pp to $70 pp. For that price I could dine anywhere. You used to also be able to order more than 1 entree but this time they told us there would be an addtl $10 charge which is mentioned nowhere on the menu. Really??? We had the manager take it off our bill after complaining. I always hear how the cruise lines are sqeezing the guests for addtl money but never experienced it before, until this cruise!

Puts a sour taste in your mouth about the entire vacation.

Horribly run down. Dingy faded carpets, stained chairs, rotting toilet seats, mirrors eroded, hard, lumpy beds...the worst!!! Thank goodness this was only a 3 nite cruise. Couldn't wait to get home to my own bed.

I cruised Enchantment of the Seas on May 29th which was our first cruise and I totally agree with dmec1978481940! Walking down to our room reminded me of the Titanic the ship is that "old" looking. I will commend our Porter though, he was very attentive. With this being our first cruise we do not care if we ever cruise again. Plus the Casino only opened at 9:00pm and then closed around 2:00am which is beyond crazy, RC could make so much more money if they left the Casino open cause it really was the only thing to do aboard the ship. The beds were horribly uncomfortable! Overall I agree with your comments DMEC!

I just got off the Enchantment --- I don't know what vacation this person went on but I have to say NONE of the negatives are true! I did order 2 appetizers on 2 nights and was not charged extra! I had plenty of drinks and only waited on average 5 mins! The service and people were AWESOME! 5 ⭐️ service!

Similar to airlines, now that cruising has become more affordable (relatively speaking), we are experiencing unbundling and seeing the a la carte itemizations of what was once, again, relatively speaking, all inclusive.
