Review summary
The pros: the dining staff and room staff were fantastic. Great personalities and service!!!
The cons: I will preface this by saying I realize that Royal Caribbean does not control the weather. Having said that...due to weather they cancelled the 1st day at Cococay due to "weather". Barely an apology to the circumstance other than announcing that we were going straight to Nassau. No added activities no added anything to make up for the missed day of port. Due to weather being so rough we then tried to cancel our day 2 excursions because it required a 45 minute boat ride (originally described as a "short" ride) and given the miserable time on the boat due to weather we just wanted land. We were told no because we were trying to cancel in under 24 hours and that was policy. Interesting they can cancel when they wanted due to the weather but we can't. We were made to rebook a different excursion with a shorter boat ride or upgrade from the $85pp we spent to a $250pp to atlantis or else we could just forfeit what we paid. So we choose the short ride for $69pp and we're refunded the $15 difference. So went to the excursion area in the morning only for them to cancel this one as well at the last possible second. This left us scrambling to try to find a place on land for a day pass. All this and not one I'm sorry or acknowledgement from the cruiseline that we didn't get to do any of our excursions. I completely wasted my money on this trip. I would give it zero stars if not for the great individuals in the dining room and our room steward who were just great personalities. I will definitely not be recommending Royal Carribean.
