Review summary

Our room had an odor, the blowdryer that was promised was not in our room, and the staff was horrible. Only a couple actually acknowledged us and smiled. Meanwhile, the others glared at us as if we were ruining their trip or something! There isn't much to do on this ship, I would go with Norwegian. My friends have told me their staff is nicer, and the boat is nicer.

Our first cruise was on Monarch and, since we have never cruised before, had an awesome time. Our second was on Freedom and it was even better. Then was Enchantment and we were let down (but still had a great vacation). No more Enchantment for us although we are tempted to try Majesty. Should we?

That was my experience as well. Awful ship. You just have to make the best of any cruise you're wrong because after all it's a cruise but I will never cruise on that ship again! Sadly that was my first experience on Royal Caribbean

Which stateroom did you stay in? Sailed on 6 rccl cruises and loved all of them. We prefer smaller ships over the larger ones.

Old ship or not, one should expect better response to issues. I'm surprised the stateroom attendant didn't help resolve the hair dryer issue.

Enchantment is one of the oldest ships in the fleet and I too think it is very rough around the edges (at least the cost is less than other RCI ships). Don't judge the whole RCI fleet by this old ship. Still, we think time on Enchantment is better than any day at work. When you do Norwegian make sure you try and go on a newer ship. Happy cruising!
