Review summary

From the embarking time to the end  of this cruise, this was the worst experience ever. Even now ,after I returned their customer service sucks. At first they did not allow my wife to embark due to an expired green card missing(she left it home since the passport shows a valid visa and the letter is an extension of the green card  but even we provided with the extension letter from immigration and with a valid passport with a valid visa they did not let her to embark. They provided us with a letter and set up expectation for a refund when we call directly the company. I just called them, explained everything again and read the letter signed by the hotel director who said we will get our $ back. and the surprise is: NO REFUND!!!! and I am talking about over $600, not just few $.On top of this I only boarded with my step son instead of my entire family to have the family vacation that we were waiting for so long. The service there was awful. No food provided after 11 pm, no room service other than breakfast, no activities and they said I need to pay extra for day care. The room stinks, a strong odor was present. I will never ever go back to sail with them or recommend it. Other cruise lines are providing sea food and steaks at the dinner, this time I must pay extra $ if I want some. The evening activities lack and due to the weather we did not go on Coco Cay, to have everything in order :( Royal Caribbean suck big time!!!!! incomparable with the other cruise lines there.

If I had the slightest doubt about an expired AND missing green card for my family, I would have clarified and CONFIRMED with the cruise line and have everything pre-arranged in black and white, rather than taking things for granted and assuming everything's gonna go my way. You'll also find most charges clearly listed on the website. When you don't do your homework, you can't blame anyone but..

There's only a charge for daycare if it is outside normal kids camp hours! There also is no charge for under 3 in kids camp.

It getting to the point if someone does something stupid they want the larger entity to pay for their acts, thru no fault of the other party. Then cry fowl and complain

JeffreyR6996    8 years ago

But then he would have less to complain about.

If your wife would have had her expired green card, she would have been allowed on the ship?

We stayed in Suite 8150. We had absolutely no smell or issues with the plumbing

I don't know about your main complaints, but you DO have valid irritating if the "stink" is still in your staterooms. We were in a suite, mid ship and the only way you could stand the smell was open balcony and hall doors together. After major complaining to RCCL they PROMISED me that this would be fixed. Ship was cut in half and extended and plumbing was not adequate for expansion.THEY FIBBED

So jacmac are you suggesting the child care charge, documentation requirements and other things could have been found by prior research? ;)

Would you care for a little cheese with your whine?

Please go on Carnival. This way I never have to worry about running into a complainer like you while I enjoy every Royal Caribbean Cruise

kknorr0320    8 years ago

Carnival doesn't offer steak and lobster on 3 or 4 day cruises either.

When did they get rid of room service? When did they start charging for the children's program?
