Review summary

This was our first RC cruise. I like Cape Canaveral so I like to go from that port. We drove to the port from Central Florida and took the Park and Ride. I would not do that again. By the time you tip both directions and wait for long times to get to the cramp bus, it was almost the same cost as parking at the port and I believe that would have been much more convenient. We were on the Enchantment of the Seas in an internal room on the fourth floor and booked just one week prior. That was my first time in an inside room but I liked the room and the attendant our room (Sidney) was very attentive. I would book an inside room again without hesitation. That room was large enough for us and extremely quiet. The sailing was smooth and since we were in the center of the ship what little rocking there was is rarely felt. Some of the furnishings in the room were worn but clean. No problems with the bathroom at all. Our bed was comfortable. The Tournament Director was like a one man band. He was all over the ship, television, shows, and the announcements. He was extremely entertaining and really made the trip pleasurable. The staff, with only one exception (no smiles and not inviting), were very friendly and always trying to provide you with help and tips. The ship is not new but is fairly well maintained. There are some things that need small repair and/or replacement. Signage on the ship is almost non-existent. There is almost nothing to give you a feel of where you are and which way you are going, other than when you are on deck and can see the ocean! In an emergency this would not be helpful. We liked the food, lots of choices. Some choices at the sit down dinner were limited but still tasty. One soup was not good at all and some of the pastries had no flavor at all and one colored drink at breakfast was awful and warm but everything else was great. I did not buy any of the drink packages because water and lemonade are fine for me. Sometimes I had to search for that but learned quickly where they were. They told us this trip had the lowest number of children on board but I do not mind the kids so that was no concern to me. Coco Cay was great but since I have been to Nassau several times I only got off the ship there for less than 40 minutes. I would be OK if I never went to Nassau again. The locals are on you the second you get to the open area but were not as aggressive as I have observed them in the past. The prices in Nassau are OK but I found some of the same items in the Duty Free area on the ship to be less expensive.
