A: Yes, the Royal app. easiest way to check in and have the set sail pass right on phone. The safety briefing is done on the app also. When you get closer to sail date the cruise compass shows up. You can make reservations for shows, dinner, etc. You ca... n chat with ones you are cruising with for a fee.See More

A: We have cruised out of Baltimore to the Caribbean in January and March and the Ocean has been perfect.
Answered by esrescuer on May 2, 2022
A: Just cruised from that port. Staff says it is nearly always a bit windy and choppy out of Baltimore.
Answered by joyandjerry on May 2, 2022
A: the Chesapeake bay can be choppy if it's a windy day. We went out the end of January this year and it was rough but there was a nor'easter coming. We live in the bay area and it can change fast
Answered by paulrobin on May 2, 2022
A: We did this exact cruise in 2019 and had no rough sea days
Answered by GSSI on May 2, 2022
A: I just got off a cruise from the Atlantic today and my home port is Boston. Plus, I've cruised out of Baltimore before. You should be fine, since you're past hurricane season.

Q: First time driving to Baltimore port. When parking, do I take my check through luggage with me to the terminal, or do they take it when I park? I don't mind bringing it myself. I don't mind tipping, but not for something I can do on my own.

A: As you enter the port, the attendants will remove the luggage from your vehicle and transport them to the ship. We tipped, but it's optional.
Answered by Chaippini on March 16, 2022
A: They will take your suitcase. Keep a small bag with you for your meds and essentials for the day. You won’t see your luggage till later at your room. A tip is nice. They work hard! And so deserve it!
Answered by miminic on March 18, 2022
A: The parting is smack dab at the terminal. Drive through the line to dump your bag and park. Easy port and not big

Q: Is the room key card the type with a hole for a lanyard clip, or do I need to bring the lanyard with a plastic pouch?
Thumbs Up
0
A: on the newer ships you can't punch holes in the key cards so you have to use the plastic holders because they have the tap technology in them
Answered by JWayneT on March 13, 2022
A: Thanks, I don't know why this question showed up several times.
Answered by joyandjerry on March 13, 2022
A: They can punch a hole in the card for you. Not sure if it’s done at customer service or one of the stations where they sell lanyards the first day.
Answered by mit01 on March 13, 2022
A: We tried the plastic holder older and we had to take the card out every single time and it was a pain so we hole punched it ourselves, and you can also get that done at the customer service desk.
Answered by JandKcruiser on March 12, 2022
A: We had to bring our own hole punch. They might punch it for you at the customer service desk. We started off with a plastic holder and had to take it out every time and it was a real pain.
Answered by JandKcruiser on March 12, 2022
A: No. If they're open, enter at your own leisure & risk.😉 Just kidding about the risk part. Buffet style but due to Covid, staff is serving.

A: We went in August December and February and we never needed reservations however now they scan your sea passcard when you enter and when you leave
Answered by Islandtime32 on February 25, 2022
A: In December we needed reservations that we did on the app each time we were going to eat at the windjammer. It kept it from being too crowded.
Answered by JandKcruiser on February 24, 2022
A: We stay in Jr Suites and there is one in the tub. It is not very tight. I recently purchased one and magnets to bring on our B2B in March so I can wash some items and hang them dry.

A: It was a little concerning that there isn't a specific area where smoking is allowed and We found that smoking was accepted all through the ship whilst children were also present. This being said it was a wonderful trip and the smoking issue although... concerning was only a minor nuisance.I would definitely recommend the trip.See More
