Food and Dining

Best quality food we’ve had on a cruise. Spoilt for choice everyday! We didn’t prebook a dining time most nights, we just turned up to the restaurant and didn’t ever have any difficulty getting a table. Also ate at the buffet a couple of nights when we couldn’t be bothered going to the MDR and that was lovely as well. Poolside offerings are excellent. Pizza and the Salty Dog Grill. Only downside with that is the queues if you go at lunchtime, you will wait absolutely ages for it.

Entertainment

Pool area was brilliant during the day. DJs, live band, movies, plenty to entertain! Excellent quality productions in the theatre, Rock Opera was superb and we enjoyed Gareth Oliver the ventriloquist. Outwith the theatre, you are absolutely spoilt every night with options. From game shows in Princess Live, to live singing in the Crown Grill, O’Malleys and down in the piazza, pick a venue and enjoy!
Children's Programs

First kids club my son has absolutely loved! The staff in there are so nice. There’s a pager system so that if your child is upset you can be called for. Open every day at various times depending on whether it’s a sea day or port day, but usually until 10pm although we never had him there as late as that.
Service and Staff

Best staff we’ve encountered. And apparently they aren’t as good as they used to be as they lost a lot of their best crew after covid. Would have loved to have been there before! But it was outstanding.

Cabin / Stateroom

We just had an inside cabin. Beautiful decor, good use of space. Bathroom on the small side but still workable. Our room steward was amazing.
Ship tip
If you want to book specialty dining do it before you board. We didn’t manage to make a reservation the whole time we were there. We didn’t try overly hard though.
Beautiful town, only downside is getting onto the island. The queue is insane for the cable car. We took the stairs. Fine if you’re fit, which we are, but it is definitely a strenuous walk. Coming down was more treacherous. Saw lots of people slipping as the stones are fairly worn down. Actually got chatting to a few folk all going down which was quite nice
Did excursion to Vesuvius and Pompeii. Excellent day out. Only wish we hadn’t wasted over 20 minutes at a jewellery outlet to watch some coral being carved which no one was interested in and no one bought any of, and used that time at Pompeii as it was a pretty whistle stop tour.
The most beautiful port I’ve ever been to. Husband and sons booked the Via Ferrata excursion. They said it was great fun but quite tricky! Then we went for a walk round the old town. So quaint and beautiful
