Getting back to cruising made us a bit anxious. Health protocols helped and we were impressed with the crew’s wearing of KN95 masks. Most of passengers were far less careful but you can’t fix stupid. Thankfully everyone was vaccinated and tested for COVID before getting on the ship. Overall, we delighted with the cruise and excited about our next one scheduled for August.

Considering the extra steps needed with health protocols, it couldn’t have been any quicker or smoother.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Overall, the food was every bit as good as we have on previous Princess cruises, both in main dining rooms and the buffet. The Salty Dog Grill, Slice Pizzeria, Gi Gi’s and International Cafe were great. We had dinner one night at the Crown Grill Steakhouse and it did not disappoint. Service was good everywhere on board.
The Salty Dog Grill

These guys do a great job and must dish out tons of burgers and fries daily. Everything tastes good and is literally hot off the grill.
Gelateria

Great gelato and a very reasonable up charge. We did it several times. Nice service too.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center is really well equipped and machines are well maintained. We loved the sanctuary and hot tubs.
Guest Services
5 out of 5
We didn’t have many issues, but the service there was great. They helped us and gave us answers promptly,
Entertainment

Both productions were great. There was technical glitch on the first Rock Opera that caused a cancellation but they repeated it later in the cruise. Five Skies was was awesome with its special effects. Music all over the ship was first class. Loved Static and they featured them in several venues. The guest vocalists were both fantastic and their shows were supported well with the Princess Orchestra.
Service and Staff

Edwin, our cabin steward, couldn’t have been any better. The room was always made up and clean and even though we had practically no issues, everything was addressed promptly. Wait staff was good in the dining room and buffet. Exceptional at the Crown Grill and GiGi’s.
Ship Quality

Excellent all around. It’s a large ship, but very easy to get around.
Cabin / Stateroom

First time we did an interior cabin and it worked out great. Princess’ design allows more room than you anticipate. The storage areas are very functional and the bathroom and shower, though small, are set up well. The bed is awesome and we were impressed with how quiet the cabin was, even considering we were so far aft. TV and electrical outlets on this newer ship are well placed.
Ship tip
Get reservations for specialty dining and sanctuary the first hours you board the ship. They fill up fast. We did decently but if you are looking for a specific date or time you could be disappointed if you wait to make reservations.
Well organized and smooth all the way. We used the EZ check for our luggage and that service was fantastic. No lugging bags. They went directly to our home airport with us. Highly recommend,
