Review summary

50% passenger load was great for us, we actually looked at extending from 20 days to 30 days (we met many people who were on for 30-days and 40-days. Princess offered us a deal, but we had commitments at home that it wasn't convenient to reschedule, so didn't stay. Maybe next year... Medallion app is the future and I like the idea. Medallion.Net service was poor: constantly booted off, periods of extremely slow speed, app locked up a few times: ordered premium coffee that never showed up. Also ordered room service breakfast five times but didn't show up three times.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Very smooth. The only delay was waiting on CBP.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining, buffet, Gigi's Pizza, Crown Grill: all excellent, typical Princess menus. We quickly met people we decided to dine with every night, and waiter treated us very well: Capri 265.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools, hot tubs, exercise room, all worked well, never crowded.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Princess entertainers didn't perform the first week, and if felt as if Princess was scrambling to fill the entertainment void by bringing entertainers in from far away. Second week, Princess entertainers were on-stage and did very well. I couldn't follow the plot of the 5-Skies stage show, but the performance and effects were great.

Children's Programs

No children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Ship was only half full so never had to wait anywhere. Waiter Edna took good care of us every night, Guiest Services quickly resolved two minor problems.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Enchanted is the sixth ship of this design, and is typical of the class. I have cruised on four of the others, all features were familiar, and I was able to find my way around from the moment I stepped on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
B431 on the deck plan was a two-person cabin but had bunk beds - which don't suit us because it shrinks the size of the cabin. Princess quickly moved us to a two-person cabin. Again, a very new cabin so nothing to complain about.

Ship tip

Don't wait to cruise: Princess is in business!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5
Cruised from Fort Lauderdale 20 times, and know the port well. We did take a river cruise (!) excursion and enjoyed it.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Been here many times, convenient but nothing exciting.; actually a little bit cool.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Visited Emerald Beach on our own, and it went well. We'll do that again.

Castries, St. Lucia

3 out of 5
Off-road island tour was interesting.

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
Just walked around the port area, clean, comfortable, convenient.

Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality

5 out of 5
Rented a golf cart from Bonaire Cruisers and drove the island. Will do this again.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
Took an island bus tour, rum tasting, beach time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and coupled with a shore excursion.
