Review summary

Our stateroom was so disappointing in its location & did not have a window, really affecting our overall enjoyment of the cruise. We hope to go another cruise but will not travel on Royal Caribbean again.

We booked and paid for a cabin with a window. We got a cabin with a porthole in the very front of the ship on the lowest level for passengers. Another couples in our party paid less for their booking and received a cabin with a full window and on an upper deck. This was our first cruise. The other couple had been on several cruises but this was their first on Royal Caribbean. On Board ship we asked if we could get a cabin with a window. We were told none was available. We will not take another cruise on Royal Caribbean.

Ship tip

To be sure verify their cabin place on the ship before they board to make sure they get what they reserved and paid for,

Don't write off an entire cruise line, for your mistake. You need to do your research or better yet, use a travel agent. Better luck next time.

Don't pay for a guaranteed cabin/ sail away rate and expect a Balcony. You are only sleeping in the cabin not moving in, you don't need the extra unless you are spending more time on your own in there looking out. You let one mistake ruin your whole cruise, better luck next time. Make sure you pay for what you want up front so you don't lose another cruise.

So you got the cabin you paid for, and you are writing off an entire cruise line because you didn’t like it? Try a travel agent next time.

Its always a good idea to do a little research on your ship before you book anything. You can also call the cruise line or a travel agent for questions on just about any subject. I have found all to be most helpful. I can then make a good decision on what type of room I choose. Don't give up on cruising as there will be another one out there that just blows you away. I've been very fortunate as all my cruises, but one, was awesome - but the, I'm pretty easy to please. 😄🚢👍🌴☀

You always should check photos and deck plans of the cabins before choosing a cabin. If you chose a guarantee cabin, that is the chance you take with getting a lower price is that you may wind up with a room that no one else wanted. I wouldn’t write off an entire cruise line because of a bad choice in rooms.
