Review summary

They need a better entertainer in Schooners bar. The Reggae band is great though. This is our 3rd Royal Caribbean Cruise my 2nd in the month of January 2019. I will say this no more Royal Caribbean for us. I like the Holland America, Carnival and Princess Cruise better. Norwegian is not for us either.

Embarkation

Went smooth. Way better than the Oasis of the Seas that we took 2 weeks prior.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Dining rooms are okay. Winjammer buffet is good. Royal Caribbean food is good. Chops Grill is always busy. We had a good waiter name Arjay. Very attentive and friendly. However tha ambiance is not relaxing. I think they could use more staff. We ate in there 3x. Like 1 for handling the wine. The amount of money you pay for a specialty restaurant it's not worth it. I felt more stressed out than relaxed. For some reason 1 night I got dizzy by eating in there cause the flooring moves a lot. Every time someone's walk by me seems like the floor is giving in. I sat by the window facing it, thise tabke for 2. They need to fix the floor put some real flowers on your table.

Onboard Activities

Did not participate. I used their gym like 3x and it was too small. It is located in the 11 deck above the club.

Entertainment

Not interested.

Service and Staff

Our Stewar Dwi is great. Arjay from Chops Grill is a superb. Jun ong from Winjammer works very hard and helpful. However the Manager nme starts V an Indian. He's not very helpful. He's very protective of his job not by people like us. There was an old lady left her glasses in our table and we turned it in to Jung on and I guessed Jung on gave it to one in charge there named Lina but Lina just left it in there for some reason the glasses got lost in the process. We're tried to locate it but we were instructed to go to Service desk and it wasn't even there. In other words we got friends with Evelyn the one who owned the glasses. Royal Caribbean decided to investigate the matter after 4 days when we're about to disembark. We didn't find out anymore what happen to that glasses.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ships is clean. However it could use more paint on the outside.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very uncomfortable. Everytime you stand up you always banged your head on those extra folding bed on both side. In order to avoid them you have to duck ech time you go on bed.

Ship tip

Avoid our room.

Miami, Florida

I'm a runner and I love water. Boardwalk and plenty of water activities in the area.

HAVANA, CUBA

We felt like we got robbed. Taxi charge like $40 for 2 miles. Cuba is not cheap. I had a great time through running. I did run 9 plus miles by the ocean side all the way to US embassy and went to Capitol. It was a good running experience. That was my highlight.

Nassau, Bahamas

Been here 3x so no big deal anymore. Blue Lagoon island is great for beach goers though. My wife and I enjoyed the area.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Still under construction. This island will be great after a year or 2.

Disembarkation

Horrible experience. My wife got sick on the last day. We were discharged earlier around 630am. But we got our luggage not till 830am. They isolate or quarantine our luggage. We are not aware of that and they didn't tell us. So I was looking on the conveyor belt for 2 hours. Very unorganized. My wife who is not feeling well complained to the Manager that's when they found our luggage.
