This particular cruise was supposed to go to Cuba. Royal Caribbean did everything to make up for the last minute change in the itinerary. As a result, we made the best of the cruise. As a side note, we sailed passed Havana, Cuba and waved! We enjoyed our vacation and came back home very relaxed.

The Empress of the Seas is an older ship. It is well-maintained. The drawback is the location of one's cabin. We had a junior suite, which was underneath the pool deck. As a result, in the middle of the night (2-4 am), we would hear items dropping; chairs dragged across the floor, and children running across the floors.

The junior suite was a comfortable cabin and our room steward, Humphrey provided exceptional service.
Ship tip
The Empress of the Seas is one of the smaller and older ships in Royal Caribbean's fleet. However, it is a comfortable ship. Cruise ships are full-service floating hotels.
