Review summary

This was definitely about Cuba. I wouldn't choose this ship again. Not sure about RCCL either. Although the ship was old, the cruise director and his staff did a very nice job.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fastest embarkation ever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was not particularly good. Not much variety. Sometimes it was cold. No sit down breakfast or lunch. No high tea.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Trivia, game shows, pool. Only one small pool!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The stage shows were ok. Comedian was good, as was magician.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our waiter was excellent. Even though we did my time dining, we had the same one every night. Room steward was just ok.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Layout was ok. Clean, but old. Rusty. Plumbing problems. Climate control issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Size was small. It was clean, pretty comfortable. Not enough storage/drawer space.

Ship tip

It's definitely more about the itinerary than the ship.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
No excursion.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
Hot and humid. Pretty though. Too many bars.

HAVANA, CUBA

5 out of 5
Private excursion. Fabulous tour. Beautiful city. No excursion

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Our third time in Cozumel. No excursion. Went to a nice beach and restaurant.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Not RCCL's fault, but an hour waiting to get through Customs. Not enough agents.

I have to agree that Cuba is the draw for this boat. We were on this boat on it's last trip out of Miami for my daughters senior trip. It is small and old for a RC boat. There was not a lot to do on sea days so we are not looking forward to this trip with 2 days at sea. Seems like all the activities were indoors. I'm on a cruise and want to be outdoors by they pool. I do have to agree that the food was pretty good. The room staff did a good job at keeping the room up but were limited on towel art in our room. All in all if you are looking to go to Cuba for a good price this is the boat.
