Review summary

Outstanding oceanview stateroom room services and dining room services. The shows were excellent too. I would recommend this cruise, although the ship was too small, or the smallest I ever cruised with.

Dining hall services were outstanding. Nina and Chris... were the two deserving compliments. Also the cabin service guy was very nice and working real hard.

er1977623, how long was your cruise?

er1977623    8 years ago

PHGRAVES, no formal nights, but don't let that stop you from getting fancy. NLAMENS, if you booked with a 3rd party, they should be able to assist you with the itinerary information for your booking. Stateroom credit info too. If you booked with RCL, they will assist you.

I have seen reviews that say there is not a formal night on this ship. I have a 6 day cruise planned, hoping for a formal night or 2. Any input??

Thank you! How do we know which port we're going into? Also, how do we get our on board credit? Is it like a gift card we get once we check in?

Was on the Oct. 24 sailing. Empress OTS DOES have stabilizers, but they did not help much. We had rough seas (up to 13 foot swells in the Gulf for two straight days. Docked with Oasis in Cozumel and even that goliath was rocking south of Cuba. This was my 10th cruise and never had experienced that, BUT it's a ship....on the open sea. It happens!! Otherwise, great little ship....VERY clean and all staff were gracious and accomodating. Would definitely recomend this to a person with an open mind that small ships can be just as nice as the big ones.

Yes but it probably won't be on sale on the boat. Log in to your cruise planner. If you don't know what that is, go to Royal Caribbean's website and create an account, then add your cruise.

nlamens    8 years ago

And you can purchase it on the boat?

kknorr0320    8 years ago

Depending on which wifi plan you get.

Lol, wife. Wifi

silviandrito    8 years ago

If you buy the wife right now it is $8.99 per day per device.

Not sure about stabilizers but your cruise planner will have the wifi options and cost. It might be on sale for your sailing right now.

nlamens    8 years ago

What about the stabilizers? What was the cost of the wifi?

kknorr0320    8 years ago

No free wifi on any ship that I know of

nlamens    8 years ago

Does the boat have free wifi? Did it feel rocky? Does it have the stabilizers? Thanks!

It's the smallest ship in Royal's fleet :)
