Review summary

Was disappointed in the food. Went to "The Grill" and found the filet mignon to be tough. Either the knife was dull or the steak wasn't really filet mignon. All the filet mignon I have had I could cut with a butter knife. Also, disappointed in the baked Alaska. When I have had it in the past, the top was meringue with only vanilla ice cream and  the meringue was set on fire at the table. The baked Alaska that was served was more of an ice cream cake.

Was sorry we missed Grand Turks. However, I think more compensation should have been give than just the port tax and trip refunds.

I think the movies provided were great.

The staff was superb.

I'm sorry your Princess experience wasn't great. We've done 20 plus cruises with Princess and a couple with NCL, HAL and P&O all in the past 6 years. The only baked Alaska that was actually on "fire" was a Carnival cruise we did in Alaska 20 years ago! Health and safety is a huge issue on ships, as it is every where else and it does take the fun out of a lot of things.

All princess cruises have baked Akaska I think. At least the two I've been on which were over 40 years apart.

No cruiseline compensates for missed ports. They still have the exact same costs, which is why the cruise documents all say that the itinerary may change.

I've been on 20 cruises n never had baked Alaska set on fire at the table...the top is meringue with napoleon ice cream..
