Review summary
We left port an entire day late- miss our first port(roatan) washed out at the replacement(costa maya) even though there was a Royal Caribbean that seemed to be able to port there ok..? All excursion cancelled for Belize(walked around in the rain to get off the ship) excursion for Cozumel cancelled- got a taxi and found a beach.. Travel desk was NOT helpful at all- food was poor-salty overcooked..Lobster was rubber- Activities were not well advertised- couldn't hear announcements-missed second formal night change announcement, came under-dressed! Horizon court food was not good- couldn't even eat the mashed potatoes-too salty No service there either for 4 days no one offered to get drinks or anything..
Room was nice and clean- and room attendant was kind

I can not blame the cruise line for weather but I can blame them for bad service and the food being overly salted.
As I have stated before, even good cruise lines have a bad ship or two. I have not been on Princess in about 20 years but most reviews have it as good food and a good line. 20 years ago I lost 5 pounds because the food was so bad on the Dawn Princess. Now I read that the food is supposed to be almost as good as Celebrity.
Sory for your bad trip I hope your next cruise will be better.

We boarded in Houston for a crossing in April and the boarding process could not have been better. Got in line and within 20 minutes were in our cabin and started exploring the ship. Cruise directors were great for entertainment and only a few minor complaints for a 20 day cruise. Need more variety in the dining room and one cruise director decided rap music was appropriate for trivia with a crowd where 65 (if not higher) was the average age. Most of the shows in the Princess theatre were very good. A couple of duds but over 20 nights I'll take 18 out of 20 and be very happy.
