Review summary

The ship was well maintained and the food was excellent. Our stateroom had continuing issues with the safe not opening and the toilet not working. The staff were very nice.

Entertainment

The dance group were wonderful but the four lead singers were terrible!! We walked out and had been advised of this by others before we went. Couldn't help but think of all the great singers from American Idol and why the ship singers were so poor.

Ship Quality

Did not like such a large ship and will not be sailing on one again this size. But, know it's the only economical way to see all the ports so were somewhat aware of this from the beginning.

This was where I have always wanted to go and the weather definitely cooperated. Loved it. If we had any complaints it would be the quality of the theatre where I saw the ballet and we were pretty tired at the end so the canal trip was a bit of a let down. Wish the 2 day trip had included both Catherine and Peter's palaces as we had to make up our own 2 day excursions. Our guide on the first day, Margarita, was excellent. The second day guide less so. The meal on the first day at the Holiday Inn was terrible!!!! Would have liked to have gone in the Church of the Spilled Blood as we ended up having to shop across the street from it on both days. Felt rushed at the Hermitage. Would have liked to have gone there with a guide and then be able to roam at leisure.
Don't Miss: Hermitage, Catherine's Palace, Church of the Spilled Blood, ballet.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

Almost didn't go but pleased we did. The train rides were long but the city was great as was our guide, Birgit. Loved where we ate lunch. Good German food and great Cabaret type restaurant (Nolle). Was pleased that the Germans seemed repentant at what they had done in WWII and after. Would like to have had two days there as issued so much.
Don't Miss: Canal trip

Aarhus, Denmark

Liked the Women's Museum/Occupation Museum and the great church.
Don't Miss: See above.

Tallinn, Estonia

Was very pleasantly surprised with Tallinn. If we had tons of money, would invest here in the "old town" as am sure it will be come the northern version of Tuscany. Thought our guide told us too much about the mediocre paintings in Peter's Palace.

Stockholm, Sweden

We had way too short a time here. Wish we could have stayed two days and not have gone to Finland. A beautiful city even on a rainy day, but we just couldn't see that much of it.
Don't Miss: City Hall where the Nobel Prize for Literature is given. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for that.

Oslo, Norway

5 out of 5
We very much liked especially the Peace Museum and City Hall. We did it on our own.
Don't Miss: See above.

Pros: Seeing all the cities and countries

Cons: Too many people and ship too large
