Review summary

The ship was very large but easy to navigate. On our cruise we had problems with two elevator banks that did not function properly. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cruise itinerary was why we booked this one and it is quite intense.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Anytime dining worked out very well. We never waited more than 5 minutes on line to be seated at a shared table. Only negative was eating breakfast in the cafe and being able to get seating with such a large number of passengers. We met wonderful people who were friendly and talkative each night we dined.

Entertainment

This was a disappointment overall. You could tell it wasn't good because you could enter five minutes before the show and get excellent seating.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we encountered on the staff was helpful and spoke very good English.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was always clean and in good condition during the cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin steward met all our needs and was very helpful.

Ports of call

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

A chance of a lifetime to see Russia. We did a Princess excursion so as not to have to get a visa and our guide Anna was wonderful. It was a very intense two days (23.5 hours of sightseeing including a night at St. Catherine's Palace). The dinner at St. Catherine's Palace was very disappointing and not worth that portion of the excursion. The Church of the Spilled Blood was exactly what I thought "old" Russia would look like and the Hermitage was mind-blowing.
Don't Miss: The Church of the Spilled Blood and the Hermitage.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

Didn't want to stay in the port so took an excursion. While it was very exciting to see Berlin and the Berlin Wall, the train ride (3 hours each way) was excessive. Rethinking this I would have done something closer. The Allied Museum at the end of the tour was very disappointing and more time could have been spent elsewhere. A very long day......the ship had to wait for our return before leaving.

Helsinki, Finland

We had a very brief visit here and unfortunately docked on Helsinki Day so most of the shops and museums were closed.

Tallinn, Estonia

What a wonderful surprise. I would love to go back and spend more time there just bopping around the Old Town. We did a Princess excursion and our guide Anni was fabulous.
Don't Miss: Old Town

Oslo, Norway

Would have loved more time here. Watch your intinerary and try not to visit on Sundays as most shops and restaurants are closed. This was a disappointment for me.
Don't Miss: Viegland Park and the Viking Museum.

Aarhus, Denmark

This is a port they could take off the itinerary and use the day elsewhere.

Stockholm, Sweden

Six hours was not enough time to get anywhere as it took 45 minutes (with traffic) just to get into the city center. We chose to just walk around Gamla Stan which was wonderful.
Don't Miss: Gamla Stan
