Ship: Disney Magic

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

We would strongly suggest Disney Magic, although it was an older ship you couldn’t tell and we had no complaints. A great ship for first time cruisers.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very quick and easy, everything went smooth from beginning to stepping on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the food, we got to try things we don’t normally eat and it was amazing. The buffet for breakfast was always excellent as we the MDR, we ate at Palo for our anniversary and another unbelievable meal and experience.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
No complaints, I wish someone would get some control of saving chairs a little bit though.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Only complaint was the highly intoxicated woman who made trying to view one of the show’s impossible and I had to walk out.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everything was above and beyond, the servers made every meal excellent. We really enjoyed each of them.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was wonderful, always clean and prepared for us.

Ship tip

Book your excursions early, relax and take in the shows.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
One of our favorite ports, our tour guide did an great job of introducing us to the island. We took a tour of Hell and a rum cake factory, both were great.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
We arrived a couple of days early and was able to enjoy the area, toured the space center and Cocoa Beach.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
Other than a bad sunburn, we enjoyed snorkeling around the adult beach. It was nice and relaxing.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed being docked so close to downtown Cozumel, the mall was fun to take in as was the shopping. We also toured Mayan Ruins and cocoa farm.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
It was okay, our first time on Key West, but very crowded with all the ships in port. There’s not a whole lot to do.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As embarkation, disembarking was just as smooth and quick, unfortunately. We didn’t want to leave.

Thanks for reviewing your past cruise, great that it left such a positive impression on you. Hopefully you can manage a new cruise while ship capacity is still low.
